Good afternoon EPS Families!
Bus 68 will resume its regular schedule starting tomorrow. Have a good evening!
🔦 Flashlight Spelling Fun! 🔤✨
Learning to spell is even more exciting with a flashlight! Students used picture cards, flashlights, and dry-erase boards to shine a light on hidden words, read them, and then practice writing each word. Such a fun, hands-on way to build phonics, spelling, vocabulary, and writing skills! 💡✏️

Learning to sort and count with our building towers! 🔢🧸

🪇 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! 🪇
Our kindergarten students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a fun literacy and art connection! We read Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove and then got creative by making our very own colorful maracas! 📚🎨🪇
We loved combining a great story with hands-on creativity—and, of course, making a little music along the way! ❤️

Hands-on math makes learning stick! 🧮✨
Students used Play-Doh to build arrays and equal groups as they practiced multiplication. By rolling, grouping, counting, and arranging the Play-Doh, students were able to see what multiplication really means instead of simply memorizing facts.
A little Play-Doh + a lot of thinking = a fun way to bring math to life! 💙 ➕ ✖️ 🧠

🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣 Making Our Mark on International Dot Day!
Ms. Clegg’s and Mrs. Cromartie’s classes celebrated International Dot Day with a colorful activity inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds! 🎨
Students explored the message of believing in yourself, trying even when you’re unsure, and never giving up. Just like in the story, they started with a simple dot and used their creativity to see where it would take them!
Every creation was different—a perfect reminder that we all have our own unique mark to make on the world! ❤️
“Make a mark and see where it takes you!” 🌎✨

🔎📚 Our Library Detectives are back on the case!
Even our older students had a great time investigating the library “crime scenes!” They carefully examined each scene, recorded the clues and evidence, and then put their detective skills to work by INFERRING what had happened. 🕵️♀️🕵️♂️
It was a fun, hands-on way to practice an important reading skill while also reinforcing how to properly care for our library books. The evidence doesn’t lie! 🔍📖💛
